Sarangani Representative Manny Pacquiao is on of the popular faces of the anti-RH Bill. Yesterday, he interpellated the author of the RH Bill in the Lower House of Congress Rep. Edcel Lagman.
Though Rep. Pacquiao is a critic of the RH Bill, several reports surfaced about his wife Jinkee admitting to using contraceptive pills.
In an interview, the boxing great admitted that his wife indeed used pills. He also admitted that they fought over the issue.
“Pinagtalunan namin ‘yun… Itinigil niya hanggang nagkaroon ng dalawa, tatlo, apat, at madadagdagan pa. ((We argued over it…She stopped and we had two, then three, then four kids, and even more),” Pacquiao said.
Rep. Pacquiao and Jinkee have four children.
With this issue, feminists immediately commented that Pacquiao being a husband is lording over the right of his wife to choose what is best for her body and her health.
