The NanEye is a 1mm by 1mm sized digital camera with a capability of 250 x 250 pixel resolution.
Naturally, the world’s smallest digital camera which is manufactured by German Fraunhofer Institute and Portuguese Awaiba, is designed for medical operations which enables doctor to see images that other imaging devices cannot reach.
As Singularity Hub puts it:
“The NanEye sensor provides delay free, smooth video operation resulting in a safe operation and a clear diagnosis. The sensors are connected to minimal diameter cabling solutions. As an option, a small lens an be assembled to the chip, this option does not increase the total diameter of the sensor, making it the world most compact digital camera.”
It is aimed that with the help of this camera, making certain diagnosis will be more comfortable for patients.
