NBA Champion Dallas Maverick’s guard Jose Juan Barea received a warm hero’s welcome from his hometown Puerto Rico.
The 26-year-old 5″10 NBA player felt like a star as he was greeted by hundreds of his Puerto Rican fans at the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport as soon as he arrived.
“I’m proud of what I, along with my teammates, accomplished in the finals, but I’m more proud of being a Puerto Rican. Hard work is the key to everything in life,” Barea said.
JJ Barea is set to visit the place where he grew up, the coastal city of Mayaguez where another parade awaits him.
