Filipino cue master Efren “Bata” Reyes failed to continue his journey at the 2011 World Pool Masters.
Reports say that Reyes was defeated by the English billiard artist Darren Appleton, 5-8. It was almost evident that “The Magician” has lost his touch at billiards because of his noticeable fail shots and crucial errors during the course of the game.
However, it wasn’t only “Bata” who got evicted at the said tournament. His former rival and another pinoy billiard master, Fransisco “Django” Bustamante had also lost.
As now there are still two Filipinos left to participate in the tournament and had successfully made it to the Final 8. Reigining champion Dennis Orcollo is about to face Chang Jung-lin of Taipei while Lee Van Corteza will play against Ralf Souquet of Germany.
