This may come to be not so old news but I was very amazed about how this thing happened after reading this in a local daily.
A young girl from Mindanao reportedly dug herself out from the grave and pointed out the person who had raped and buried her alive
Police authorities said that the victim was a 10-year old girl. According to the report, this girl reported to her parents what happened after surviving the terrible experience of getting raped and buried alive.
The girl narrated to her parents that after she got raped by her own cousin, she was hit in the head by a solid object and got unconscious. She was then buried into a shallow grave. When she regained her consciousness, she realized that earth and stones covered her and so clawed her way out.
Inspector Roberto Ocumen, chief of police in the town of Magpet, said that the suspected has already been arrested and charged.
How about that for a story of survival and bravery?
