Filipina-Mexican American Idol contestant Jessica Sanchez thanks all her fans after being qualified as one of the Top 13 finalists in the 11th season of American Idol.
Jessica amazed the audiences with her performance of Jennifer Hudson’s “Love You I Do”, which obtained the only standing ovation from the judges during the show.
“I’ve been sick all week and my vocals magically came out,” said Sanchez. “I got a standing ovation from the judges! I feel amazing and I hope America feels the same.”
Sanchez went emotional in the backstage because she can’t believe that the three American Idol judges was impressed in her performance of “Love You I Do”, despite of being sick the past few days.
Next week, male contestants will be doing a cover of Stevie Wonder’s songs while the female contestants will do a cover of Whitney Houston’s hits.
