The elimination on American Idol is highly controversial as contestant Jessica Sanchez was dramatically saved by the Idol judges last Thursday after being eliminated in the competition.
Sanchez got the lowest votes after her performance of Jazmine Sullivan’s “Stuttering.” Judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson were shocked when she was included in the Bottom 3 along with Joshua Ledet and Elise Testosterone this week.
The audience was also disappointed when Ryan Seacrest announced the results that Sanchez was out of the contest.
During Jessica’s farewell performance, Jennifer Lopez went to the stage and grabbed the microphone to declare the Sanchez will still perform in the Idol series.
“Gimme that mic–this is crazy! Yes, we’re using the save–you aren’t going home. Go sit down,” said Lopez.
Afterwards, Tyler and Jackson announced that they will give Sanchez another chance for once, and they also think that she deserves to stay in the competition. Jackson also stated that Sanchez is one of the best singers in America.
“We are saving Jessica without any doubt,”
“Let me just say this; for myself, Steven and Jennifer: This girl is one of the best singers in America! Ever!”
“Please, everybody, please vote for the best. It’s about finding the best. I mean, come on.” said Jackson.
Meanwhile, after the elimination round, Sanchez thanked her supporters and said they are the “best” any girl could have.
“I love you guys so much! You really are the most amazing supporters a gal can have. <3 Mwah! :*” Jessica posted on her Twitter account.
