Viloria Maintains WBO Flyweight Title

WBO flyweight champion Brian Viloria retains his title after defeating his tough rival former two-time world champion Omar Niño Romero via 9th round technical knockout during their match at the Ynares Sports Arena, Pasig City.

During the first round, “The Hawaiian Punch” shows his eagerness and determination to retaliate against his arch nemesis.

The two boxing warriors have once fought in the ring way back 2006 wherein Romero gave Viloria his first loss. Then on their second fight, Romero also won against the Filipino boxer.

Viloria knocked down his opponent during the 4th round.

On round 5, the Mexican boxer was deducted points due to a low blow.

On round 9, the referee brought the fight to an end after seeing Romero’s corner waved as he surrendered in 2:07.
