Bob Arum Wants Judges’ Scoring from Pacquiao-Bradley Fight Investigated

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum wants to get rid of the speculations about conspiracy in the boxing scene.

According to reports, Arum plans to launch an investigation to the controversial Pacquiao-Bradley match happened yesterday in Las Vegas to be certain that there is no foul play involved from the judges scoring.

Apparently, Arum says the rematch will be on hold except if the Nevada attorney general conducts an investigation. However, it seems that the Nevada attorney general will not launch an investigation.

“I want to investigate whether there was any undue influence, whether the (Nevada Athletic Commission) gave any particular instruction and how they came to this conclusion. But the whole sport is in an uproar. People are going crazy. … [T]here needs to be an independent investigation because it strains credulity that an event everybody saw as so one-sided one way all three judges saw it as close. It strains credulity.” said Arum in an interview.

If ever the investigation pushes through and turns up nothing, the Top Rank promoter will just differ with the judges, rather than rejecting to accept their decision.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao wants to reclaim his honor as the world’s best boxer. He stated that he is still looking forward to a rematch in Vegas.

Timothy Bradley earlier gets a shocking, unbelievable split-decision win over Pacquiao to get the WBO welterweight title as the three judges scored it 115-113, as Duane Ford and C.J. Ross scored in favor of Bradley and Jerry Roth with Pacquiao.
