After a few months of rumors regarding Johnny Depp and his long time partner Vanessa Paradis’ status, it was confirmed that the two have ended their relationship.
The Hollywood actor’s spokesperson confirmed the couples’ separation.
“Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have amicably separated. Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children,” Depp’s publicist stated in Entertainment Tonight.
According to sources, Depp and Paradis allegedly attempted to save their relationship to no avail.
Depp and Paradis first got together when the couple met by chance at the Costes Hotel in Paris in 1998. The two lovers settled in France throughout their relationship.
In other reports, Johnny Depp told French magazine VSD (via People) that living in France “has given me everything. A marvelous family and also an equilibrium which I missed enormously.”
