Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago reportedly admitted that she is interested to be the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court after her name was nominated as one of the recommended officials who will replace the vacant position for Chief Justice.
However, according to a report, the senator stated that she may not accept the nomination because she still likes being a judge of the International Criminal Court.
According to Miriam, she will put the Philippines to shame if she turns down ICC after she campaigned in order to win the position. She also added that her position and salary in the International Court is much higher.
For now, the senator stated that it is yet not clear when she will start her work at ICC as she has not been called yet.
