Dolphy’s Condition gets better, Might Still Stay at ICU

Comedy King Dolphy’s health status is getting better after he went through another blood transfusion and dialysis at the ICU of Makati Medical Center on Monday.

According to reports, Dolphy’s son Ronnie Quizon confirmed the news after posting a health update on Facebook.

“Dolphy underwent another blood transfusion and dialysis today, and his pneumonia is being controlled. The doctors are just finishing the cycle, and waiting for the pneumonia to be completely healed. All other previous updates on his condition continue to improve and show positive results.

“As of the moment, we are boosting his immune system so we can transfer him from the ICU to step up room. Also, visiting remains to be limited and restricted. Visitors will have to ask clearance from family members, as doctors advised to contain the patient from other viruses that might cause further complications.”

Meanwhile, Makati Med doctors apparently said that Dolphy might still remain at the hospital’s intensive care unit as they advised that the veteran comedian’s pneumonia should be fully cured as well as the other complications before he returns home.

The Quizon family hopes for his full recovery before the coming of Dolphy’s 84th birthday on July 25.
