Filipino boxing Olympian Mark Barriga will start his fight for his light-flyweight 49 kilograms division on Wednesday.
Barriga will face Italian boxer Manuel Cappai in the first round of the competition. Cappai got a ticket in the London Games after he won the bronze medal in the European qualifying.
On the other hand, our athlete Barriga won 9th place in AIBA World Boxing Championships.
A lot of Filipinos say that the Davao del Norte native is the Philippines’ big hope to get the gold medal for the honor of the country.
