Former Knicks’ Coach Surprised on Lin’s Switch to Rockets

New York Knicks former head coach Mike D’Antoni can’t believe that they let loose Jeremy Lin, after they did not match Houston Rockets’ $25 million offer to the NBA sensation.

According to D’Antoni, it was regrettable for the New York Knicks to drop off 23-year old Harvard University graduate.

D’Antoni gave an opportunity to let Lin play in February which made him an instant basketball star in the NBA season.

Despite of Lin’s transfer to Houston Rockets, the former Knicks coach is still glad because Lin is an amazing basketball player.

“So I’m happy for him, I think it’s a great contract for him and Houston could find themselves a very, very, very good basketball player. At least he’s going to be a good player. The guy’s got quickness and determination, so he’s going to be good. Now it depends on what level, nobody knows that, but I wouldn’t bet against him,” said D’Antonio.

Even Los Angeles Lakers star player Kobe Bryant has seen Lin’s potential on his career.

“The plays that he was making, it didn’t seem like he had too much of a difficulty making them. He seemed like he was pretty comfortable in making those plays and he was pretty consistent afterwards,” ani Bryant. “His numbers weren’t 30 and 15 assists or whatever, but they were more than solid numbers. He can play, he’s a very good player.” Bryant said.

Meanwhile, Houston Rockets’ management is set to introduce Lin as the new member of their team.
