Veteran comedian Vic Sotto differs after being branded as the new “King of Comedy” after the late comedian Dolphy’s passing.
The “Eat Bulaga” host said in an interview that Dolphy is the only “King of Comedy” in the entertainment industry and no one can surpass him.
“Wala ng ibang Comedy King kung hindi si Dolphy. Paulit-ulit kong sinabi at sasabihin ulit nag-iisa lang si Dolphy. Kung anuman ang tronong kanyang hinawakan noong siya ay kasama natin, kanyang-kanya lang yon. Wala nang ibang pwedeng pumalit doon. Nag-iisa lang si Dolphy, one and only Dolphy,” Vic stated.
Apparently, Vic also added that despite of Dolphy’s departure, he will forever remain in the hearts of the Filipinos.
Sotto also supported the petition to give the tribute to the Comedy king as a national artist.
