IBF/WBA bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire will highlight the Filipino Heritage Night.
In the said event, the “Filipino Flash” will also throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Oakland A’s game versus Cleveland Indians at the O.co Coliseum on August 17.
The Filipino-American singer Jason Farol, who was once paired with singer Kelly Clarkson, will sing the national anthem during the ceremony.
Donaire (29-1, 18 KOs) will defend his IBF and WBO junior featherweight titles against tough boxer Japanese boxer Toshiaki Nishioka (39-4-3, 24 KOs) in the ring on October 13.
