Three years after getting physically abused by Chris Brown, which actually became the cause of their split; RnB singer Rihanna reportedly admitted that she still has feelings for her ex-boyfriend.
According to a report, Rihanna apparently stated that Chris Brown is the possible “love of her life.” The “Rude Boy” singer also revealed that they recovered each other’s trust and they are close friends for the time being.
Brown was convicted after hitting Rihanna in the 2009 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. He later gave a public apology and underwent a five-year probation, domestic violence counseling and community service and was also ordered to leave Rihanna alone.
However, the restraining order was withdrawn and the two musicians later made a partnership.
“We have maintained a very close friendship ever since the restraining order was dropped. We just worked on it, little by little, and it has not been easy…We built a trust again and that’s it. We love each other and we probably always will and that’s not anything we’re gonna try to change,” said Rihanna.
The RnB singer also said that she finds it difficult to hide her true feelings once she faces Chris Brown.
“It’s awkward because I still love him. My stomach drops and I have to maintain this poker face and not let it get to the outer part of me…I think he was the love of my life,” Rihanna added.
