The divorce of former Hollywood couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes was officially closed. And a new chapter opens up for the Hollywood stars.
The couple’s divorce case was closed on Monday after a New York judge signed off on the final judgment.
It was said to be the fastest divorce process in Hollywood. Holmes filed the divorce two months ago.
Meanwhile, the couple recently announced that they had an agreement with the help of their lawyers.
However, the details concerning the divorce case especially the cause of their split is said to remain closed to the public.
Cruise and Holmes started dating in April 2005 and a month later Cruise announced his love for the actress. The former couple wed in an extravagant ceremony in Italy 5 years ago and has a 6 year old daughter named Suri.
Apparently, communication between Cruise and Holmes remains open for their daughter. Although the actress holds the primary custody for Suri, Holmes’ camp openly accepts the “Mission: Impossible” star’s visitation rights and since last month the actor freely took her daughter on a several trips.
