Reports say the head of chief executive of Mondadori group which publishes glossy French magazine Closer Ernesto Mauri and French photographer from daily La Provence Valerie Suau were charged with invasion of privacy.

The Duchess’ pictures were featured on Closer Magazine and also circulated the internet a year ago, wherein she was reportedly seen topless at a private chateau in France.

On the other hand, the Mondadori group stated, “Mondadori is not aware of anything new with respect to what is already known about the issue.”, while La Provence believed Suau had the paper’s “support in the legal challenge she is facing today”.

In the meantime, Kate Middleton is preparing for her first baby and is scheduled to give birth in July.

According to reports, two consecutive bomb explosions occurred at the finish line of the Boston Marathon event at Copley Square which was held concurrently for the celebration of the Patriots Day.  According to Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis, two undetonated bombs were also discovered by the authorities.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the event is a terrorist attack; however, it is still not clear if a local or an international group is responsible in this act of terror.

US President Barack Obama reportedly called on Boston Mayor Tom Menino and Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick to ensure the White House is ready to help in the investigation.

 “Shortly after being notified of the incident around 3 p.m. EDT, the president received a briefing from Homeland Security adviser Lisa Monaco and other members of his senior White House staff in the Oval Office,” a White House official said. “The president called Boston Mayor Tom Menino and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick to express his concern for those who were injured and to make clear that his administration is ready to provide needed support as they respond to the incident.”

Boston authorities immediately tightened the security wherein they secure hotels and other vital installations. Guests from hotels such as Marriott and Lenox hotel were reportedly evacuated.

Meanwhile, the US Secret Service has reportedly secured the White House. Credentialed pass holders were also not permitted to enter the White House gates. Flights from Central Boston were also cancelled following the said incident.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we have expanded our security perimeter at the White House complex. It is not unusual to expand or contract these security perimeters,” US Secret Service Edwin Donovan said.

According to Gov. Deval Patrick, it was a “horrific” Day in Boston.

“This is a horrific day in Boston,” said Patrick. “My thoughts and prayers are with those who have been injured. I have been in touch with the President, Mayor (Thomas) Menino and our public safety leaders. Our focus is on making sure that the area around Copley Square is safe and secured. I am asking everyone to stay away from Copley Square and let the first responders do their jobs.”

In the meantime, US President Barack Obama stated during a press conference that the authorities are “still in the investigation stage” in the result of the bombings at the Boston Marathon finish line.

“The American people will say a prayer for Boston tonight, and Michelle and I send our deepest thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims in the wake of this senseless loss,” President Obama said a number of hours after the tragic event. “We don’t yet have all the answers, but we do know that multiple people have been wounded – some gravely – in explosions at the Boston Marathon.”

“We still do not know who did this or why, and people shouldn’t jump to conclusions before we have all the facts,” the president said. “But make no mistake: we will get to the bottom of this. And we will find out who did this. We will find out why they did this. Any responsible individuals, any responsible groups, will feel the full weight of justice.

“…Boston is a tough and resilient town – so are its people,” he continued. “I am supremely confident that Bostonians will pull together, take care of each other and move forward as one proud city. And as they do, the American people will be with them every single step of the way.”

During the first four rounds, the bout seems like a “chess match”, as the two fighters both calculated each other’s strength and agility.

On round 5 and 6, the fight started to become intense wherein both boxers became aggressive and exchanged blows. And on round 9, Rigondeaux and Donaire were back to “tactical” mode.

During round 7, Donaire unleashed a series of jabs and body shots while the Cuban fighter continuously evaded his assaults.

During the opening seconds of round 10, Rigondeaux was knocked down with Donaire’s solid right.

On round 12, Rigondeaux became aggressive wherein he initially attacked Donaire in the ring. Donaire quite find it difficult to work on his offense tactics due to an inflicted wound on his right eye.

According to the scorecards, Rigondeaux is the victor of the match via unanimous decision: 114-113; 115-112 at 116-111.

Previously, the Filipino four-division world champion received the award as the “2012 Fighter of the Year” of Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA).

It seems like Donaire became emotional during his speech in front of the international press and boxing legends.

“I want to show you that, the small little boy who was wheezing between rounds and who barely had enough strength to hold up his gloves ended up taking up four world titles and doing so in a clean manner,” said Donaire. “I believe in the impossibility that there is none. When you reach your goal, you always reach your star. Here I am, a kid from nowhere, receiving the biggest award and I humbly accept this award with all my heart.”

According to a report, the senator told the reporters on Tuesday that she has all the symptoms of anemia due to her bone marrow is not producing sufficient red blood cells.

“Apparently no one knows how to treat it, and it will probably retrogress into leukemia. That’s why I have no strength. You will notice that I have run out of breath and that I can hardly walk,” Santiago said after a commencement speech at the Philippine International Convention Center.

Santiago also reportedly said that she plans to go the United States to treat her health condition.

“I’m facing the possibility of cancer in my future, that’s why I take this seriously,” Miriam said.

“So I’m now the walking dead,” she jokes. “I’m free to bite people.”

“It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning,” said Bell.

Thatcher, who was known as “The Iron Lady”, was the first and only woman prime minister of Great Britain and ruled for three straight terms from 1979-1990.

Thatcher retired from public appointments in 2002 due to a series of mild strokes, and was only seldom seen in public since then.

Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth was saddened to hear about Thatcher’s passing and sent her condolences to her family.

Prime Minister David Cameron reportedly cancelled his trip to Europe after hearing the death of the late former Prime Minister.

“We have lost a great leader, a great prime minister and a great Briton.” Prime Minister David Cameron stated.

According to a report, the British government stated a memorial service with military honors for Thatcher will take place at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral. However, the ceremony will not be a full state funeral.

These unknown hackers previously hacked financial information on celebrities such as US First Lady Michelle Obama, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Tiger Woods and the others.

Although the money was not stolen from their accounts, the hackers gained information on their monetary accounts such as social security numbers, mortgage amounts, credit card information, car loans, banking and other celebrities’ information and was reportedly posted on a website.

Celebrities who were also victims of the hacking incident include NBA legend Dennis Rodman, Michael Vick, Secret Service Director Julia Pierson and Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro.

According to a report, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) started an investigation a month ago to trace anonymous Internet users who had allegedly leaked information, such as banking and mortgage details.

Meanwhile, the website on which celebrities’ private information was publicized was shut down beforehand, however, there are reports that the site is currently back up and running with a new domain extension.

According to PAGASA weather bulletin, the typhoon was recently spotted at 230 kilometers southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, with strong winds approximately 175kph near the center, gustiness of up to 210 kph and moves with the speed of 26kph.

If the storm continues to move, it is estimated that it may reach Bacolod City on a Tuesday night and 180 kilometers northwest of Puerto Princesa City on Wednesday. It may reach 670km west of Metro Manila on Thursday.

In the meantime, storm signal number 3 has been raised over Surigao del Norte, Siargao, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Province, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Misamis Oriental, Camiguin, Bukidnon, Davao Oriental, Compostela Valley, North Cotabato, Lanao del Sur, Lanao del Norte, Davao del Norte and Samal Island.

Provinces under signal number 2 included Southern Leyte, Bohol, Cebu, Camotes Island, Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, Siquijor, Misamis Occidental, Davao del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Sultan Kudarat and Maguindanao.

Places under signal number 1 are consist of Palawan, Calamian Group of Islands, Eastern Samar, Western Samar, Leyte, Biliran, Aklan, Capiz, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, Zamboanga Sibugay, Basilan, Sarangani and South Cotabato.

Meanwhile, PAGASA strictly warned people living in low and mountainous areas to be cautious concerning possible landslides and flashfloods. They also alerted residents living in coastal areas under storm signal number 2 and 3 to be careful on storm surges especially on areas such as Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Dinagat, Bohol and Leyte provinces.

According to reports, 15 senators favored the bill while 2 senators disagreed including Sen. Chiz Escudero and Sen. Joker Arroyo.

The said bill requests to gather P40 billion in extra revenues from increased taxes on tobacco and liquor products in the first year of implementation. The senators agreed that the entire amount to be gathered will be 60-40, or P24 billion from tobacco products and P16 billion from liquor.

It was said that the Sin Tax bill was almost not passed after Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile found out that the 60-40 burden sharing of P40 billion in liquor and cigarettes was not complied.

Sen. Franklin Drilon earlier agreed to Sen. Ralph Recto’s amendment to allocate the P23 billion from the sin tax for Philhealth and the P10 billion for local hospitals.

Drilon also approved Recto’s proposal to distribute P100 million in every 16 regional hospitals and 22 medical centers every year and P100 million for DoH information campaign against the use of cigarettes and alcohol.

In addition, Drilon accepted the P250 million proposal for TESDA and P150,000 for unemployment insurance in every laborers who lost their jobs due to sin tax.

Meanwhile, Drilon concurred with Enrile’s revision that tobacco manufacturers and sellers are required to get their 15 percent of their raw materials from local producers.

Drilon opposed with the proposal at first due to it may violate the article three of the signed General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) which aims the equal treatment of countries regarding local and imported products. However, Enrile reportedly stated that his concerns are to protect the interest of the tobacco farmers particularly in Northern Luzon.
